Daniel Shafer (M.M. Theory and Composition, FSU) (B.M. Theory and Composition, Univ. of Miami)is an accomplished educator, audio engineer, performer, and composer. Under the direction of Mr.Shafer the LRHS Orchestras have consistently earned superior ratings and adjudications at district and state level events, they have performed over ten concerts a year, and have lead the county in solo & ensemble and all-state participation.

His philosophy as a music educator is built upon teaching performance through a balancing of theoretical comprehension, history, and artistry. Mr. Shafer consistently pushes his students to seek out new experiences in music, to expand their aural cognition, to perform with passion, and to strive for an ever-increasing level of perfection.

Daniel Shafer has been the director at LRHS since 2013.
